What’s the difference between The Chairman™ Pro and other MANSCAPED® devices?

MANSCAPED® offers multiple devices to effectively shave and trim each part of your body. The Lawn Mower® devices were specially made for trimming and shaving the groin; The Dome Shaver™ Pro & The Dome Shaver™ Plus were designed specifically for your scalp; and The Beard Hedger®, The Handyman™, and The Chairman™ Pro & The Chairman™ Plus were created to help you craft your finest facial hair.

The Chairman™ Pro is a premium, full-size foil shaver and stubble trimmer that comes with two interchangeable blade heads to give you a gentle, precise shave, whether you want a smooth face or perfectly chiseled stubble.

Can I use The Chairman™ Pro in the shower?

Absolutely! The Chairman™ Pro is IPX7* rated which means it can be used for wet or dry trimming and shaving. Plus, you can rinse it under running water for easy cleanup.

How do I use The Chairman™ Pro?

Before your first use of The Chairman™ Pro, bring the device to a full charge.

When your The Chairman™ Pro is ready:

• Wash your face and pat dry.
• If preferred, apply Power Shave Gel.
• Hold The Chairman™ Pro flat against your skin.
• Gently glide the shaver up and down. Let the blade head pivot and seamlessly navigate the contours of your face while maintaining even pressure.

Pro tip: Exfoliate your face prior to shaving for better results. Then, use our Power Shave Gel to ensure a smooth glide to get a close, clean and comfortable shave, and finish with our Face Shave Soother to relieve freshly shaved skin.

One more thing: We don't recommend using this shaver with water alone or when sweaty. Slight moisture on the face can cause stickiness when shaving.

How is The Chairman™ Pro powered and charged?

The Chairman™ Pro is powered by a lithium-polymer battery. Charge it with the provided USB type-C to type-C charging cable and two-amp AC adapter (US & Canada only).

With a two-amp AC adapter and the included USB-C charging cable, it will take about 60 minutes for a full charger which gives you a run time of 75 minutes.

Don't have a time for a full charge? A five-minute quick charge—enough juice for one shave—is available using the provided charging accessories.

The Chairman™ Pro also features wireless charging capability that can be used with any wireless charger (not included). Charging times vary and the five-minute quick charge feature is not an option when charging wirelessly.

How do you change the SkinSafe® Replacement stubble and foil blade heads?

The Chairman™ Pro features two interchangeable SkinSafe®* replacement blade heads that magnetically attach to the device:

•  The Chairman™ Pro SkinSafe®* Foil Blade
• The Chairman™ Pro SkinSafe®* Stubble Trimmer Blade

To remove either one of the blades heads, grasp the front and back of the blade attachment and pull it up and away from the device.

To attach, hover the blade attachment over the pivoting platform and allow it to magnetically snap into place.

We recommend replacing the blade head every 12–18 months.

How do you clean The Chairman™ Pro and blades?

1. Make sure the trimmer is disconnected from any power source and turned off.
2. Grasp the front and back of the blade attachment and pull it up and away from the device.
3. Gently shake out any hair from inside the blade head.
4. Rinse away remaining hair under running water—it's waterproof!*
5. Turn the shaver on, angle the shaving head down, and run it under the faucet
6. Air-dry completely before reassembling.
7. Replace the magnetic blade head onto the device by allowing it to snap back into place.

Does this come with a precision trimmer?

The Chairman™ Pro features a precision lock designed to be used with the SkinSafe® Stubble Trimmer Blade that locks the blade head in one of three positions for more precise shaving and trimming.* Use the black switch on the side of the stainless-steel blade head bracket to lock the blade into place.

If you prefer a little scruff, clean it up with the SkinSafe® Stubble Trimmer Blade's two length-setting stubble trimmer combs.

What is the travel lock feature on The Chairman™ Pro?

The travel lock is designed to keep your device from accidental operation. You can turn the travel lock on and off using the bottom circle button on the front of the device. While the device is off, press and hold the travel lock/spotlight button for three seconds to engage the travel lock. Press and hold the button again for three seconds to disengage.

What is the LED spotlight?

Never miss a hair! The Chairman™ Pro features a built-in LED spotlight to illuminate those flat-lying hairs and hard-to-see areas on your face and around the neck and the jawline.

What is The Chairman™ Pro Foil Shaver + Peak Hygiene Plan?

This means your purchase of The Chairman™ Pro Foil Shaver includes your enrollment into the Peak Hygiene Plan, a membership club that delivers your choice of fresh blades, new products, and refills of your favorites – always on your schedule and at the lowest retail prices available in your country of residence.
